TESEO-LIV4F Firmware Updating
To manually update the firmware running on the ST TESEO-LIV4F GNSS module, follow the steps below.
Download and install TESEO-SUITE.
Download the latest LIV4F firmware.
Short pins 2 and 3, I2C SCL and SDA, to Ground, pin 5 of the I2C2 connector to put the MCU into passthrough mode on boot.
Connect a 3.3V serial adapter to the JST-SH debug port. Pin 2 is TX, pin 3 is RX, and pin 5 is ground.
Open TESEO-SUITE, select Add Device, select LIV4F under Hardware Type, select NMEA 4.10, select the COM port specific to your computer, select Baud Rate of 460800, and select Ok.
Select Connect, open the Nmea Decoding, and you will see streaming data. Make sure you rebooted the GPS with the I2C pins connected to ground for passthrough mode.
Under Tools, open Teseo FW Upgrade, set the COM port, Loader baud rate to 115200, Software baud rate to 460800, and select the firmware binary file downloaded earlier, select START.
Once the update shows complete, data streaming will resume.
Unplug the I2C ground cable and reboot.
